Verona

At the heart of the area lies Verona, a splendid city of art, surrounded by the traces of its ancient history, splendid in its mythical dimension bestowed upon it by the Shakespearean tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Roman ruins, medieval vestiges, Venetian and Austrian traces can be seen all across the city, as well as antique palaces, squares, bridges and wonderful churches. In the historical centre, Piazza Bra and the Arena, Piazza Erbe and Piazza dei Signori, Via Cappello and Corso Porta Borsari lead to the Teatro Romano, Ponte Pietra, Castelvecchio, the Ponte Scaligero and the ancient churches of San Fermo and Sant’Anastasia, the Cathedral (Duomo) and San Zeno. Elegant cafés and ancient osterie (typical inns of the Veneto territory), craftsman shops and high couture shops enliven city life all year long. Verona is a man-sized city which fascinates visitors with its elegance and its welcoming atmosphere, in which ancient and modern times meet.

Mantova
Mantova

Mantova’s history goes back to the far-off period of the first Etruscan settlements, passing through the Lombard rule (8th century) and the glorious centuries when the city was ruled by the Gonzaga family (1328-1707), the greatest period of splendor for Mantova. A walk around the old city center is the best way for getting to know this city and its large number of historical buildings that are part of it, such as Palazzo Te, the wonderful Renaissance Villa built on the site where the Paiolo lake could once be seen, later dried up, and Palazzo Ducale the old Gonzaga family residence that extends over 34,000 square meters, an almost city within the city.

Piazza Sordello, where it is possible to admire the cathedral and the thirteenth-century Palazzo Bonaccolsi and Piazza delle Erbe, where Palazzo della Ragione, the clock tower, the Casa del Mercante and the Church of San Lorenzo, the city’s oldest church, stand, are also so pleasant and charming to look at. Mantua offers a rich treasure of Art such as: Bibiena Theatre, the Museum of the Fire Brigade, the Tazio Nuvolari Museum, Palazzo D’Arco, Casa del Mantegna, Palazzo S. Sebastiano with the temple, the Basilica of St. Andrew, Cube in Piazza Sordello.

Venezia
Venezia

Venice is a city reflected in the water and the image that returns is imprinted in the eye of the beholder. A magical city par excellence where everything is magical, romantic, full of poetry and sadness. This city is unparalleled, which has been awarded the title of World Heritage by UNESCO for its artistic treasures and for the extraordinary interpenetration between human activities and the natural landscape of the lagoons. The traveler, if only in passing, is seduced by the beauty and variety of monuments and works of art. Piazza San Marco, the pulsating heart of the city, the important urban and architectural complex, takes its name from the famous Basilica of San Marco, built in oriental style and topped with five Byzantine-style domes. The vast space that is filled with tourists from all over the world opens on one side of the lagoon, while the other is bounded by the bell tower and glamorous buildings of the Old and New Procuratie and Palazzo Ducale. The Bridge of Sighs is not far from here and is a necessary stop of the romantic gondola ride that traditionally goes up the Grand Canal, the main waterway of the city. Venice is a place to live to its fullest and a place where one should get lost in the intricate lanes while going up and down the bridges discovering the treasures of the baroque Church of Santa Maria della Salute, the Accademia, host to the masterpieces of Venetian painters from between the fourteenth and the eighteenth century or the School of San Rocco with the extraordinary series of paintings by Tintoretto. Venice is also modern and contemporary art, like the art works that are found in the renovated Punta Della Dogana, or inside Palazzo Grassi, with its avant-garde art on display at the Biennial exhibition.

Padova
Padova

Rich in culture and history, in the city of Padova we will start the day from the city center, with the famous Caffè Pedrocchi (1831), known as the Café without doors, because back then, not having doors, it remained open day and night. A few steps from Coffee, we will visit the ancient University (1222) into the BO' Palace, then head, in one of the most folkloristic zones in Padua, the shops "below salon" that lie under the Palace of Reason (1200) between Piazza Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, where we will taste only fresh regional products and enjoy the fine wine of the Euganean Hills.

Then Piazza dei Signori, with the Astronomical clock tower, walking until one of the largest squares in Europe, Prato della Valle (1775), an island of elliptical shape surrounded by a channel on whose banks stand 78 marble statues representing many famous people.

Then the magnificent Basilica of the Saint (1232), in honor of St. Anthony, in which we will admire the works of Donatello and Mantegna. To conclude our day, we will visit the wonderful and ancient Botanical Garden (1545), located behind the Basilica del Santo, UNESCO world heritage site, we‘ll walk among the streets of ancient trees, the scent of roses, collections of medicinal plants, carnivorous plants, and a trip inside the brand new Garden of Bio Diversity to discover the origin of life, from the Poles to the Equator.
